Speak out against child pornography

Tuesday, March 06, 2007

With a similar idea to 'Light to Unite' which I blogged about here, 'Light a Million Candles' petitions against online childhood pornography. It takes less than a minute and you can make a difference.

Click for HIV & AIDS funding

Saturday, December 09, 2006

If you visit Light To Unite and click on the candle, Bristol-Myers Squibb will donate $1 to the National Aids Fund. For just a few seconds of your time, you can make a big difference (and it seems that you can click daily as well).

carcasherdotcom seocontest helps breast milk banking

So what does this mean? You may remember that I posted about Jennifer Laycock and her "Zero Cash, A Little Talent and 30 Days" series. Jennifer is a search engine marketing specialist and is taking part in a competition to try and get to the top of the search engines. If she succeeds, she will donate any prize money to the Mothers Milk Bank of Ohio.

To help this really worthy cause, all you need to do is visit the link at the very top of this blog post and follow her instructions - it costs you nothing but can save lives.

p.s. Carcasher is actually for Used Cars and this site is listed under Internet & E-Commerce in their directory.

Isara - Make the world a better place for free!

Sunday, November 27, 2005

"What if, just by changing your browser homepage, you were able to make the world a better place? NO products to buy. NO donations to give. NO sign-ups or gimmicks. Change the world by changing your homepage. It can be done."

That's the question that Isara asks. It currently uses the Google search, until it's index is built up to a big enough size to be useful. The more users, the more advertising revenue, and the more income that can be donated to useful projects in developing countries. As the Isara ("freedom" in Thai) website says:

"All income generated from advertising goes towards education, health, environment, AIDS, food, and safety programs in a developing country."

Find Isara at www.isara.com.
